Golf Instruction
In this golf lesson I show you how to get that smooth, powerful swing everyone marvels at. You know the one. It’s that swing that looks like the person is barely swinging yet they hit it a mile and they seem to hit every fairway. Although it looks simple it does take a little effort and the right instruction.
Most people are confused when they see someone with this type of golf swing. They just can’t figure out how they do it no matter how much golf instruction they have taken. If this is you, what you are missing is that the body is telling the arms how fast to come down.
In a good golf swing the body only rotates at approximately 2.5 mph. If the body doesn’t turn very fast and it’s telling the arms how fast to come down the overall swing would appear slow and effortless.
The power is generated through the club hinging and re-hinging in the wrists. The looser the wrists, the more clubhead speed that is generated. If you’ve ever had some golf instruction or lessons in the past you will have worked on your wrist hinge but in doing so you were most likely trying to hit the ball solely with your arms. This hitting tightens your wrists and actually slows the club down.
To get this easy look you need this looseness in the wrists and you get it by not trying to hit anything at all. In other words, you’re just letting the arms go along for the ride.

Whether you’re just starting to play golf or have been playing for decades, one of the best investments you can make (aside from a set of clubs of course) is to buy a few lessons. The importance of having your technique looked at by someone who know what they’re doing simply cannot be overstated – the advice a golf professional can give you will literally change your game overnight. You wouldn’t consider driving a car or playing the piano without having a few lessons first, and yet achieving a good golf swing is far harder to achieve than passing your driving test or knocking out Lady Gaga’s latest hit. Yet amazingly most people don’t even consider taking lessons when they first take up golf – after all, you just hit the ball until it goes in the hole, right? I was as guilty of this line of thought as anyone. I’d been playing golf (badly) for about five years before I had my first lesson, yet as soon as I’d struck my first ball in front of my teacher he gave me a tip that instantly improved my game (I’d been moving my head out of line with the ball on my backswing – something I would never have noticed in a million years). Of course, that wasn’t the only flaw in my game (I wouldn’t be eking out a living as a writer if it was) and when you have your first lesson you’ll be amazed at the litany of faults your professional will give you. The best coaches and trainers will focus themselves on fixing one particular error in your game and then working on it until the error is eliminated, before they move on to your next flaw. Just as you don’t expect to be an expert driver after one lesson, it’s only by having a series of lessons that your game will really start to flourish. A good golf swing is like a great piece of architecture – it needs to be built on solid foundations. Once those foundations are in place, your coach will teach you all the tips and tricks that their years of training have given them, and you’ll soon discover the only slices you’ll be making are to your handicap. If you’re looking for Golf Lessons in London, your first port of call should be ‘The Golf College’. Based just off the M25 near Hayward’s Heath, they have a roster of outstanding coaches headed up by master professional Denis Pugh – a man who has coached current PGA tour professionals Colin Montgomerie, Ross Fisher and Francesco and Eduardo Molinari. The college has an outstanding record of guiding young players on to careers in the professional game, and even if your chances of a professional career are behind you, they’ll be able to advance your game to a level where you can at least make your boss panic before you let him beat you. While it’s true golf lessons aren’t especially cheap (prices at The Golf College start from £45) they do represent amazing value for money – you’ll gain expert advice from top professionals that will allow you to advance your game far beyond the levels you ever thought possible.
The Golf College is a reputed Golf lessons London with a team of professional golf Trainer provides advanced training in golf. Visit their site to know more about their courses and degrees they are offering.

In this tip I follow up on the first tip I did called Effortless Golf Swing. In it, I showed how easy I could swing yet generate some serious power. After I posted it, there were some people who commented on the video saying the launch monitor was not accurate etc.
See my Effortless Golf Swing tip here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwpdkuC3H_k
After seeing these comments I decided to do this follow up. This time I have one of my students hit a few shots using his real swing. Then I hit shots with my easy swing again. In doing so you can see the comparison between my easy swing and his normal swing and what power I can generate.
Now there is no doubting or second guess the fact that if you swing easy you can generate just as much if not more power than trying to hit hard with your arms.
After you watch this tip immediate start to lighten up your arms when you swing. Hit some easy shots with a feeling of nothing. Once you hit it half decently, increase only the speed of your body rotation to hit the ball farther.
Into the future use your legs to hit the ball not your arms. If you do you will save your body plus you will play the best golf of your life.
